Going Private!

We have decided to make our blog private. I'm not even sure if many people read it, but if you do let me know your e-mail address and I will add you!

Before I go to bed I always go in and check on Ashlyn and Nathan. When I walked into Ashlyns room one night this is what I found!

Easter 2010

We started off our Easter celebrations by coloring eggs over at Todd, Jess, and Luke's house.

I loved this face that Ashlyn was making. She wanted me to stop taking pictures of her and just let her color her eggs.

Nathan wasn't interested in coloring eggs. Maybe next year!

Ashlyn is at that age were she wants to be so independent. She wanted to color her eggs without any help from mom and dad. She did a pretty good job.

The next morning was Easter and when the kids woke up this is what the Easter bunny left for them.

One of Ashlyns favorite parts of Easter is hunting for Easter eggs that the Easter bunny hid.

After all the fun it was off to church.

Jessica (Jarom's sister) took these pictures of Ashlyn, Nathan, and Luke. It was so cold outside when she took these we were only out there for about three minutes, but she we got the best pictures. I love them.

In March Jarom and I were able to go to the temple with my parents and seal my mum to her parents. What a neat experience to be able to be sealed to each other for eternity.

Nathans 1st Birthday

As always I am playing catch up on our blog. In March we celebrated Nathans 1st birthday. We love Nathan and he is a joy to have in our family.

We decided to have a farm yard themed birthday. I made invitations shaped like barns, and made him a barn shaped cake with sheep, pig and chick cupcakes.

Nathan wasn't too interested in his gifts. He opened a couple, but was more interested in the giant red ball Uncle Todd, and Aunt Jess had gotten him.

Nathan loved his lion that Aunt Laurel got him.

We were excited that Nathan got some boy toys!

My parents were so kind to get Nathan this toy. It plays music and talks yet it does not have an on/off switch or even a switch to turn the volume down, but of cause that is the toy he loves to play with the most.

He wasn't too sure what to do with his cake at first but......

he soon figured it out!

In February Jarom attended a conference in Anaheim for his work, so the kids and I tagged along. While we were there I took the kids to the Discovery Science Center in Santa Ana. It was so much fun the kids had a blast especially Ashlyn. All of the exhibits were interactive which was great for a three year old who wants to touch everything!

The first thing we saw when we arrived was the front end of a space shuttle. Ashlyn couldn't believe how big it was.

The first thing we did was watch a 3D movie about sea turtles. Here is Ashlyn in her 3D glasses.

This is Ashlyn in the Dino Quest exhibit. It was really neat you become a "research assistant" and you are given a transmitter that looks a bit like a wand and you have to go out and search for various Dino related things.

Here is a picture of the giant Dino. One of the cool things about him was that the bottom part of his tail turned into a slide. This was one of Ashlyn's favorite parts.

Then when we got back that night we went to dinner at Joe's Crab Shack with a group from Jaroms work. While we were eating this guy made these neat balloons for Ashlyn and Nathan.

It turned out to be a really fun trip!
